Serving as CEO/Executive Director of Open Door Resource Center Incorporated, Mr. Linwood Alford has taken on the task of planning and bringing the agency’s vision into being. While maintaining the quality of his current skills, he states the past years have not been easy, but his accomplishments for the past 5 years have been very rewarding.
He has over 15 years of experience in counseling, which includes a diverse clientele. Those years were the very attribute that helped to make his vision come true. The concept of Open Door Resource Center Inc. started in Atlanta, Georgia. The physical 501 c 3 non-profit organization was established in Richmond, Virginia because Mr. Alford wanted to give back to the community of his birth and rearing. He is actively consulting with the Virginia Health Department, Small Business Administration, Center for Minority Health, U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, Howard University Office of Health Sciences, National Minority AID Council, National Library of Medicine, VCU Health System, Center for Disease Control, and the Minority Consortium, Inc. He has also served on numerous grant review panels.
He has established 2 other locations, one in Fayetteville, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia with the Richmond office being the Main Office.
